Guardianship Program
Here at Haas Pawz our prayer is that each puppy that passes from our arms to yours has been nurtured, adored and in excellent health.
That’s why we’re thrilled to have our Guardian Home Program. Our heart is that this portion of our program becomes one of the most meaningful parts. It allows our dogs to grow up exactly as we believe they should – surrounded by love, part of a family, and living full, happy lives. And treats…always with treats.
We’re looking for guardian families who will be entrusted with one of our carefully selected puppies to raise, love, train, and call their own. While we retain breeding rights for a predetermined number of litters/years for our females, our guardians are their family from day one. Once their time in our breeding program is complete, full ownership is transferred to their guardian family.
This partnership allows us to thoughtfully and carefully grow the Haas program while staying true to what matters most to us: raising healthy, well-socialized, well-rounded dogs who are first and foremost cherished companions.
As a Haas guardian, you become part of our extended family. We will value close communication, trust, and a shared commitment to giving each dog the very best life possible.
We take care of all breeding-related expenses, while guardian families provide the everyday love, care, training, adventures, and companionship that make a house a home.

How It Works
There is no upfront cost to the guardian family.
The dog lives full-time with the guardian family as a normal household pet.
The breeder retains ownership or contractual breeding rights for a set period, number of litters, or number of breedings.
The dog returns to the breeder when needed for health testing, mating, pregnancy-related care, or whelping. Whelping - 9 weeks, once a year.
After the breeding commitment is complete (normal duration is 5 years, or after 5 liters), the dog is spayed or neutered (Breeders responsibility) and becomes the guardian family's sole property.
For females, this can mean staying with the breeder shortly before delivery until the puppies are weaned.
Guardian families are often required to live near the breeder (distance agreed upon by both parties) , maintain stable housing, provide training and socialization.
Responsibilities
Guardian family:
Daily care, food, grooming, training, and exercise
Keeping the dog safe, healthy, and available
Reporting health issues and heat cycles
Following restrictions on relocation and other intact dogs
Breeder family:
Breeding decisions and arrangements
Breeding-related testing and veterinary costs
Pregnancy, delivery, and litter expenses
Retirement spay or neuter
Clear scheduling, communication, and welfare standards
